“I have always had a passionate love for creative works, whether that was drawing, sewing, pottery, or painting.  While growing up in Switzerland, I was lucky enough to have been offered the chance to take many art classes in school which helped me develop my artistic side. But early in my adult life I moved to Canada, created a family and life got busy as you know life with kids is rewarding and demanding at times. During those years I lost touch with my passion for painting. Although I became an artistic hairstylist, I started to do some painting in my free time and realized that I missed it so much. After a visit back to Switzerland for a vacation, I became once again inspired and decided to get back into my passion for painting. My favorite medium is acrylic for now, It allows me to create different styles and techniques. Looking forward to working with watercolors and oils as well. Painting is like going on a nature walk, It makes me feel so happy and relaxed. I have been exhibiting my paintings in my hair salon and my customers often tell me that I should do something more with my art. This led to me joining the Glengarry Artists’ Collective, and that is how I found out about the Apple & Art Tour. I feel excited to be a part of a group that shares the same passions as I do.”
