“Lesley was born and raised in Scotland. She came to Canada in 1969, thinking she’d return “home,” in a year or two, but her affection for Canada grew and grew, so she is still here, and loving it!
She is now retired, having been a Professor of English Literature at several institutions, such as Concordia University, Vanier College and John Abbott College, where she specialized in Scottish Literature and often also taught Drama and English as a Second Language.
She moved to Alexandria about twelve years ago. She loves Glengarry and is happily settled here.
Lesley has always been a writer, but painting is a new venture for her, started since taking a course through Encore with her friend Yvonne Callaway, a talented artist and teacher now living in Alexandria.
Lesley has four grown children and three grandsons.”
